| FURRY MUSIC CAFÉ 8: THE WATERING HOLE |
Tired and thirsty after a long day on the dry savannah? Ears up! Exciting music and the lovely scent of
refreshing drinks and something sweet to sink your fangs into, seem to be coming from a
nearby watering hole. It is where the Furry Music Café has set up camp.
So come, slake your thirst, grab a bite to eat and feast on the music! If you have a favourite you'd
like to hear played, write to us in advance so we have time to find people who can play it and
make sure they know it. There's a song list below, incomplete but we're adding to it! Feel free to
mail us more suggestions!
| WHAT IS THE FURRY MUSIC CAFÉ? |
Chama says:
Like furry itself, it's a sort of a fuzzily defined thing. It's got some elements of show, some of
live jazz café, a little show&tell, a chance to find new musician friends, new songs to like, and new
people who like your music. It's both for you who listens and you who play. And if you're a beginner,
it's for you too!
It's a friendly thing, though we often have eager musicians who want to play everything (myself included)
so we have a program to make sure that everyone who wants to gets to play. Even those who aren't
loud-mouth yapping foxes! *Yap!*

If you have written your own music that you want to sing or play, or want to try your paw at your
favourite furry song, or have a song you want performed, write to us. We can help with most things,
from instruments to arrangements to tech setup... we can probably not give you recording contracts,
but who knows? :)
We like both kinds of music (both Country and Western :)) and everything else too. It's best
if you can do something live rather than just pressing play on an mp3 player, but not all music
can be done live these days.
It's always best if you write in advance. Last year, a couple of people didn't get to play because
there wasn't time left when they asked. We're really sorry about that. So write and write early.
Even if you just have a sketch or an idea. Some wonderful songs have come from just sketches!
