Let me tell you a story of old
There once was a cat, a joy to behold
Fur black as the night, Eyes bright as the sun
But love was his fall, his fate to be done

'Tis no doubt that he did well attend
The favor of many a feline friend
Alas, 'twas in vain, his heart did belong
To his mistress who loved him in spellbinding song

Only then, he could find
What enthralled so his mind
Living songs bold and vast
Spent his love, spent his years, as time passed

The rest of this song, we will sing and play
At the very next Furry Music Café
But alas, what you've heard is just notes without soul
We will need musicians to reach this brave goal
So if you can play, please hear my plea
Open an email and write back to me

The woodwind so clear, clarinet, oboe and flute
If you do play them, you, I want to recruit
And brass, be it trumpet or maybe trombone
You bring the power with each solid tone

As for percussion, the heart of the beat
Without you, this music cannot be complete
And strings, I assure, there's always a place
For Violin, Viola, Cello or Bass.

Furthermore, if you play the guitar
Perhaps synth, or something from afar,
Don't let this song wither away in its morgue
But send your mail… to cafe@furrymusic.org
